From Prison to Empowerment: Women Advocates Take on the Criminal Justice System

The number of women under correctional supervision has skyrocketed over the past 30 years, yet women’s voices and experiences are often marginalized in the discussion and formulations of criminal justice policies. This panel will highlight how formerly incarcerated women are advocating to influence and guide public policies that directly affect their lives.
